Lawson Enterprises Celebrates 30 Years of Excellence
(Ambler, PA) The suburban Philadelphia firm of Lawson Enterprises,
Inc. celebrated its thirtieth anniversary on
June 1, 2006. Lawson
Enterprises is a nationally
recognized women-owned business that specializes
in providing a full range of marketing services to national
and international
clients.
The thirtieth anniversary of the business marks several changes for Lawson
Enterprises as they have recently
moved into their own building and have
broadened their service offering to assist clients in several new industries,
such as financial services, education and tele-communications. It is this
growth-oriented strategy that
has allowed Lawson Enterprises to evolve
to the successful company it is today.
Joyce and David Lawson started Lawson Enterprises in
the basement of
their home after purchasing a small merchandising firm located in Chicago,
IL. The initial specialties of the business were mystery shopping and providing
demonstrators for retail. Over the years the company grew to a full marketing
service organization
with over 100 employees providing expertise in developing
and delivering training programs, preparing collateral materials, designing
and executing marketing programs
and representing clients at professional
trade shows. After restructuring to become a more flexible, responsive
business, Lawson Enterprises currently has eight full-time employees serving
clients in the U.S., Canada, Mexico and Latin America.
Lawson Enterprises focuses on results for their clients, whether they be
in development of a new marketing program, deployment of an existing plan
or evaluation of a current program’s success. The Lawson Enterprises
team has worked with such leading companies as DuPont, W.L. Gore and Associates,
Campbell Soup Company, Merck, West Bend, Nestle and Air Shields. Christa
Kaiser, Global Marketing and Sales Manager, DuPont Teflon® for Cookware,
says “Lawson Enterprises has been an important and integral part of
our marketing and communications team. They
have an in-depth knowledge of retail that has been instrumental to our business
success.”
Part and parcel to their success has been their approach to staffing.
While many companies look for employees who have come from specific educational
and working backgrounds, Lawson Enterprises takes the approach that the
more varied backgrounds and experiences their employees have, the better
equipped they can be to serve a diverse range of
client needs. Their
roster of employees includes an English teacher, a dietitian, a pilot,
a professional harpist, a nutrition instructor and several competitive
athletes. Joyce Lawson, President of Lawson Enterprises, believes
that their greatest key to success has been the people working for the
company.
“We have been very fortunate to have a group of talented
and committed individuals that work as a true team to accomplish our many
diversified projects,” says Ms. Lawson.
In addition to their unique staffing methodology, Lawson Enterprises was certified in 2005 as a women-owned business and was named one of the Top 50 Women
Owned Businesses in Pennsylvania and one of the
Top 100 Small Businesses in Pennsylvania (Div100) by DiversityBusiness.com,
the nation’s leading multicultural internet site. “Diversity
businesses and consumers are a growing force in the U.S. economy, and a
force to be reckoned with,” said Kenton Clarke, CEO of Computer
Fortune 1000. This is a whole business segment that can carry its own, that provides jobs, products and services,
and generates wealth for their communities. These are the new leaders in American business.”
